Pengertian Copywriting

“Copywriting is the act of writing copy (text) for the purpose of advertising or marketing a product, business, person, opinion or idea. The addressee (reader, listener, etc.) of the copy is meant to be persuaded to buy the product advertised for, or subscribe to the viewpoint the text shares.”

Copywriting memiliki tujuan advertising atau marketing; menawarkan sesuatu kepada pembaca agar mereka mengikuti apa yang penulis inginkan. Namun yang perlu Anda ingat bahwa: Copywriting tidak melakukan advertising/marketing secara langsung. Tidak ada klaim dalam menawarkan sesuatu. Kalaupun ada, klaim hanya ada pada kalimat kesimpulan/penutup.

Formula copywriting adalah A.I.D.A.
A= Attention, I = Interest, D = Desire dan A = Action.

Berikut contoh yg tidak termasuk copywriting:
“Do you have a Portable Air Conditioner which easy to move from room to room? If you do not have Air Conditioner like that and if you want have it, ”

Berikut contoh copywriting yang benar:
“My house has many room, but not all rooms have air conditioner to refresh me and all householders. I was thinking to have one or two portable air conditioners, so I can put it anywhere and anytime I want.”
